The Challenge

Survey & Ballot Systems initially partnered with a managed service provider that delivered satisfactory results. However, over time, the MSP’s service quality declined; they struggled to meet SBS’s help desk tickets, and their support desk failed to provide adequate backup.

They were lacking a proactive strategy that met their growing data privacy and security demands, like SOC 2 compliance. Despite their strong security practices, they needed guidance on the next steps.

SBS was also experiencing a significant culture change with a new generation taking over and transitioning the company into a forward-thinking mindset. This change emphasized the need for modern solutions.

We helped them undergo an email migration

Thriveon managed a major email migration and moved them to the Microsoft 365 cloud. We removed their on-premise Microsoft Exchange, increasing their security posture by eliminating a major risk. We also moved their off-site data center to another provider.

Then we improved their disaster recovery plan

In 2023, SBS discovered that due to a legacy contract, their old disaster recovery plan (DRP) wasn’t regularly backing up data and making it immutable. We moved their DRP solution over to DATTO for better protection and guaranteed data security.

We implemented numerous software audits and ongoing consulting to trim any unnecessary Microsoft 365 products and licenses. This helped SBS save money and optimize their technology stack.
